In East Germany the Kraftfahrzeug (motor vehicle) Technik magazine kept consumers up to date with the latest developments in the national motoring industry, as well as report on developments overseas. Unlike western magazines, which focused on styling trends, KFZ was highly technical.

1957 Kraftfahrzeug Technik Volume 3

This edition of KFZ Technik contains a write up on the test drive of three anthricite burning Horch H3A trucks through Tibet. China was a strong market for VEB Horch's robust trucks and the successful completion of the trial was considered a particular coupe by the company. Also in this edition is an overview of vehicle production in the DDR for 1957.
