This KFZ issue from September 1952 provides a comprehensive overview of the state of the motoring industry in East Germany. All vehicles, from tractors and trucks through to cars and even bicycles are covered. Of particular interest is the volume of DKW (IFA) cars built in 1952 - only 427! Compared to the production of BMW/EMW cars at the Eisenach plant (2,326), IFA's production record was pitiful and was a key factor in VEB's decision the following year to move production of the IFA F9 from Chemnitz to Eisenach.
